You're right, there is a bunch of noise in the shadows. I thought it was a black and white file when I first saw it. That would eliminate a lot of that noise I think. It still has that platinum feel to it even up close.
This one - I forgot to mention it - is out of the box. I posted a b/w conversion with denoising ... just for fun ... might work as a print with a little bit of work on my side ... ;-)
